COLOR CENTER starts Project ECO-DWOR, developed by Color Center in collaboration with INOTEX, IK4-Tekniker and co-funded by the EUROSTARS -2 program of the European Commission.

The ECO-DWOR project aims at:Noticia_EUROSTARS

  • Manufacturing a novel Fluorine-free Ecological Textile Finishing Agent (based on inorganic nanomaterials and bio-based organic polymers with controlled micro-structure).
  • Optimizing the associated application method to produce textiles with durable water and oil repellency.
  • Combination of different finishing systems for the production of Durable Water & Oil Repellent (DWOR) textiles with advanced functionalities for technical textiles, comfort and sportwear.

The objectives of the Eurostars-2 Programme are to promote market-oriented transnational research activities in any fields of research and development performing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), leading to the placing of new or improved products, processes and services on the market, as well as to contribute to the completion of the European Research Area (ERA) and to increase the accessibility, efficiency and efficacy of public funding for research and development performing SMEs in Europe.

02/2017, CDTI (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial) has approved the project “NEW ECO-DESIGNED POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS FOR THE TEXTILE SECTOR (ECO-PUD)“. This project is led by Color Center, S.A. in collaboration with Leitat Technological Center and consists of the development of a new range of waterborne polymer dispersions for application in the field of advanced textile coatings. This research work focuses on the ECO-Design of high-performance polymers based on Bio-Building-Blocks, free of heavy metals and cosolvents harmful to health and the environment.

COLOR CENTER receives certification ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® and ZDHC for 2018

E1NM6NC7_COLOR CENTER_V3Color Center receives the authorization ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® and ZDHC for 2018, this allows us to use the OEKO-TEX brand, thus obtaining the certification of some of our most representative products in category 3.1 (finishing products). This means that our certified products can be used in sustainable textile production. Likewise, the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme accepts ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX® certification as an indicator of conformance with the Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) in connection with the ZDHC Gateway– Chemical Module. The ZDHC’s MRSL covers chemical substances that are limited or banned from intentional use in the production of apparel and footwear materials and trim.
